Time to shine a light on pertaining to hosting , something unpleasant -- in fact, as it's very soon October and Halloween season, something that befits a ghoulish horror story.
Namely, what the heck kind of horror story is going on at Airbnb HQ?
Based on several reports I've read this week, it's like the Texas Chainsaw Massacre over there.
Is there a troupe of bloodthirsty ghouls in residence, eager to axe and chop guests and host accounts alike away, dozens, nay, hundreds daily???
Because the stories of inexplicable host and guest account terminations just keep pouring in. I have personally read 4 stories this week of hosts or guests who either had their accounts terminated, or are worried that they are in the midst of such a process.... and I don't actually read that many posts.
Since I actually dont' read that many host group posts, so if I'm starting to think there are a lot of figurative "axe murders" going on, it's likely in reality there are a heck of a lot more.
This board itself has some of these stories...but this is just the tip of the iceberg.
What I'd like to find out is really about the statistics here, how many Airbnb users are getting axed daily. For sure some of these terminations would be legitimate, but the thing is, most often Airbnb will provide no reason at all, so one would have a hard time assessing which are legit and which are bogus, unjust and unethical terminations, perhaps based on very trivial issues.
If you're like me, it's not pleasant at all to go through the day feeling like there is a giant, swinging axe swaying back and forth over your head, and wondering if it might just fall...
