As many of us are aware, who are in the business of renting out property, there are serious problems with landlord-tenant laws such that, if we rent to the wrong person/s, we can end up being victimized in our own home. Some of us have even experienced this. I found a good entertainment film on this subject which illustrates some of these difficulties, in a skillful way. This is the film "Evil Nanny." This film is based loosely on a real life story, about a family who hired a live in nanny. The nanny began to refuse to do her work, so the family fired her, but she then refused to leave the house. www.imdb.com/title/tt6354166/It's a pretty frightening story of how someone who knows how to scam homeowners can trap them into doing things that she could use against them legally. She is running riot in their home and not only can they not get her out, but she calls the police on them, and THEY are the ones who get in legal trouble and get arrested. Depressing but potentially real for anyone who doesn't know enough about what they are getting into when taking someone into their home.... This film is based in part on real-life events involving the "Nightmare Nanny" Diane Stretton, who was hired by a Southern California couple to care for their kids. When she stopped doing her job, they asked her to leave, but she refused to leave. She threatened to sue them. They then discovered that she was a vexatious litigant who had filed 37 lawsuits. This article goes into her story a bit more: reallybadtenants.wordpress.com/2017/12/29/diane-stretton-the-nanny-squatter/
