This article highlights the problems in touristic areas, caused by increasing numbers of tourists. apple.news/A_PzwfKhjQjuJlqb5KiKbRwI have a theory that this problem is linked to overpopulation, particularly in developed nations. As the population of the world increases, among those with means sufficient to allow them to travel, there are naturally more people travelling everywhere, and this is not a good thing.
The problems of overpopulation are many, from increasing demand for water and fuel and food, to housing crises, to damage to ecosystems, and many more. But, given the enormous problems caused by overpopulation, there are hardly any political leaders talking about this problem. This has got to change. BTW, I found that I can't read Wall St Journal articles on PC because there is a paywall, but that paywall isn't there if you read them on a smartphone.
