We are looking for amiable “Assistant part time tracker/bookkeeper/property manager”
Compensation: Probably start in the range of $25-30/ hr ( on our payroll) or by contract. Depends.

Track rental deposits, safety inspections, ads , responses and enquiries
Read leases and house rules
Read regulations and study the many relevant laws
Consider, ponder and think and plan and set up tracking procedures.
Attempt resolution of any unforeseen problems, respond to tenant related repair and building related requests.
Coordinate and "work" alongside our fun loving,, calm maintenance crew -- who do live on site..
Track and sometimes assist in the move out and move in process for vacationing and new tenants.
Understand and agree with the ownership goals.
Develop and maintain appropriate relationships with others
Good verbal, written and computer communication skills.

Grace and sense of humor under pressure.
Ability to communicate in a positive manner..
Strong PC experience with Windows, Word Excel
Conflict resolution skills (ability to keep calm during emergencies).

Willing to work both independently and as part of a team.
Able to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines with little supervision.

Some knowledge of the Berkeley Oakland area the Berkeley Rent Regs and a Real Estate License -- at some time- would be a serious plus, although .much can be learned quickly, if you have the interest.
Understand necessity of a "professional business image", yet be casual and informal.
Be highly motivated and have team-oriented personal style.
Prior apartment leasing and/or assistant manager experience useful, but in no way required.
Could start out with a few simple tasks and expand from there.
Must have a reliable automobile, insurance, and good driving record
Criminal background check will be wise prior to hire.
Sometimes handle resident complaints/service needs.
Supervise maintenance vendors and contractors.
Post ads for vacancies.
Sometimes hold open houses and market units coming available.
Sometimes greet guests.
Candidates need some verifiable business references & a willingness to provide us with your background check.
