I did not find the housing for refugees page, even looking, nor get a mail. Seems it was less distributed than the flood victims offer. The tweets look like written by the same person. Reads like the trolls on the Parisian newspaper. Always the same logic: as you cannot cure all the ailments of the world at once, don't try this one. Being mean, I'd say a person with this mindset, spitting venom, is no loss to the host community.

There is now a really nasty thread on the English community center, after the moderator announced the policy. Style : gon't critisize my idol, especially not by helping people he wants to suffer.

US Ninth Court of Appeals decision: www.nytimes.com/interactive/2017/02/09/us/document-Ninth-Circuit-s-Decision-on-Trump-s-Travel-Ban.html"The impact of the executive order was immediate and widespread. It was reported that thousands of visas were immediately cancelled, hundreds of travelers were prevented from boarding planes...three days later, the State of Washington filed suit, alleging that the Executive order unconsitutionally and illegally stranded its residents abroad, split their families, restricted their travel, and damaged the state's economy... Washington also alleged that the Executive order was intended to enact a " Muslim Ban" as the President had stated during his presidential campaign that he would do. ...Washington filed an emergency motion for a temporary restraining order (TRO)....the court granted the TRO. The Government filed an appeal the next day and sought an emergency stay in this court. ...We conclude that the States (of Washington and Minnesota) have alleged harms to their proprietary interests (public universities) traceable to the Executive Order. We therefore hold that the states have standing. The Government has taken the position that the President's decisions about immigration policy are unreviewable, even if those actions potentially contravene constitutional rights and protections. ...There is no precedent to support this claimed unreviewability, which runs contrary to the fundamental structure of our constitutional democracy. To the contrary, the Supreme Court has repeatedly and explicitly rejected the notion that the political branches have unreviewable authority over immigration.... The Fifth Amendment of the Constitution prohibits the government from depriving individuals of their right to life, liberty or property, without due process of law. The Government has not shown that the Executive Order provides what Due Process requires. The Due Process protections are not limited to citizens, rather they apply to all persons within the United States, including aliens. For the foregoing reasons, the emergency motion for a stay pending appeal is DENIED. "
