Todays inbox included all past guests with a box below one to click to "Ask guest to write a review".
Ya think??
I think not.
I do know HomeAway has a ton of canned emails to whoever inquires, as well as completed reservations, and asking them to write a review is one. I believe you can turn them off, I don't bother, as well as find it extremely funny to those who are writing to numerous hosts. The most recent was she wanted to know exactly what the tax amount is. Like I'm the only one who can do the math that is spelled out.
Either you don't hear back from them, or this one did send a note stating they'd found something else; but failed to follow through with cancelling their reservation request, thus they continue to receive payment reminders like crazy. Shame on them (the guest...found what I needed, next..) and just a funny host 'get even moment' when another email is received stating the guest has been sent yet another payment reminder until it expires in 30 days.
I don't know what it is with HomeAway either, perhaps you have to respond to your guest's review in order to have it published. I looked the other day, and I had almost two dozen that were 'too old' to publish. Whatever. I resent their charges for their services.
