A Menlo Park host says a guest shot porn film at her house, left a huge mess: abc7.com/business/bay-area-woman-says-airbnb-renter-shot-porn-at-her-home/1463359/See video from the news station on the link. MENLO PARK, Calif. -- A Bay Area woman said she was left to deal with a massive cleanup at her home after it was trashed by a sex worker who rented it on the popular home-sharing website Airbnb. According to homeowner Sharon Marzouk, evidence suggested the renter was shooting pornographic photos and videos inside the Menlo Park house. Marzouk posted video to Facebook showing a huge mess. Her home sustained extensive water damage after the Airbnb guest allegedly left the bathtub running, Marzouk said. "There was water pouring from the second floor to the first floor," the host said in a Skype interview. Marzouk believed it was an accident, but damage estimates have exceeded $10,000. "The place is destroyed," she said. In a statement, Airbnb spokesman Nick Shapiro said, "We have zero tolerance for this kind of behavior and have removed this guest from our platform."

We suspect that this happened in one of our listings, a few years ago. After the booking was confirmed and I had the guest full name I did some cyberstalking and saw that she had a number of suggestive photos online. Seeing that give me a bit of a worry, but then I thought about my own niece who has racy photos online too, and she's quite normal. Anyhow the guest was completely non-communicative during the stay, not responding to texts, emails or phone calls and I was just wanting to make sure everything was going well. After two days I drove by, let myself into the gated yard and knocked on the door - no answer. I peered through the curtain and the place wasn't on fire and while the kitchen was messy it wasn't a big thing. I couldn't see very well.
They finally check out and we go to clean, and all the furniture had been moved. Everything had been unplugged, and lights/lamps all in the master bedroom. There was lots of indications that something had gone on, and my husband, who has film experience said - they shot a film in here. Then we find the bathroom bins filled with condoms, lube packets, twist ties, the paper ties for extension cords, the tub is filled with makeup stained towels - like stage makeup, not normal mascara.
I bet it happens a lot. NYU film students at least ask if they can film before they book!

I'm so glad I have a beat-up old celibate farmhouse in the country.

I didn't realize there was so much porn in the world that people needed so many places to film it. And why can't they use their own house???
In this case it's the huge amount of damage to the property that is the main problem....I feel really sad for this host. She looks so upset!
