Helga, People often asked "who is Shaun"? And I tell them I changed my name and everyone is fine. By the way, I havent changed it here yet. Hello, everyone, I'm Inanna.
on Airbnb, I changed my first name to Inanna and put my former first name Shaun with my last name together in the last name space to smooth the transition. So Airbnb doesnt get confused.
it was fine. Now, the passport office...you would think they had some experience with this!

Thanks, Shaun! Yeah, some people absolutely lose their minds when you say you changed your name, but actually it's much more common than you might think. When I enlisted in the military, they asked me during paperwork (vast oceans of paperwork) if I wanted to change my name. Why would anyone? I asked. But it's just something you can do for free if you feel like it when you join. Don't know how it is today. There's a lot of people that if I had that name I would change it. There was a horribly obese, awful looking woman when I was growing up, last name Hogg & no, I could not make that up.

Innanna -- the name from ancient myth -- the goddess of love who descended into the Underworld! Well done!

Yes, that would be one to change for sure, Cc. I changed my last name too. Before, my name was Irish, both firet and last, but I connect more with latin culture so now my last name is Spanish.
