How very annoying! I just was sending my phone number to a BOOKED GUEST who is arriving today, to make sure she has it, and the Airbnb message thread blocked my message from being sent and I got a pink error message saying "don't include contact details"!!. Geez! F off already you dorks, stop messing with us! THis guest already has my contact details, she paid to stay at my house, she is coming to my house, she g-damn better have my contact details!

I should send that as an auto-message to the dorks-in-training-department of airbnb. Speaking of auto-messages i wonder if you could try making an auto message of contact details in the "use a saved message" feature of the response thread, and see if that is a work-around they haven't yet thought of. Worth a try.

Sometime I can send my phone number and email and sometimes I can't. It is very strange.

I have the phone number in the booking confirmation inside my own text for the travel instructions, in the auto-welcome message after IB and in the ladt steps message that I send everyone. Never a problem. They censor put phone numbers from the thread after a while , but so far they left it in the booking confirmation after departure.
But since a few weeks, they removed tgeir own phone numbers too, also from old booking confirmations. Maybe someone decided they need written proof of everything.
