Today I received this extremely upbeat and enthusiastic reservation request:
"Hi Carolyn! My wife M---- and I will be travelling to LA in the end of July and we plan to stay there for 3 nights. It seems your apartment is good enough for us."
Hmmm -- At least they likely will not be disappointed...(:

I'm curious how "good enough" would show up on reviews and ratings....across the board 3 stars?

I used to tell them in my listing: it's good enough for you. In case they were wondering.

Haha, CC, NICE description. Carolyn, will you accept them? With or without sarcastic remark?

Good enough???
I'd decline quicker than my fingers could type the one and only choice.
What a rude and unnecessary comment.
Not that anyone cares, I just had to prove I am human to log onto this forum 58 times, but I work my ever lovin arse off to provide the accommodations I do.
Sounds like a grumbler to me that would never be satisfied.
I love the review I received that everything was perfect; but I had too many modern appliances in my kitchen that made the guest feel like he was back in civilization and suggested to future guests to book more laid back accommodations.
He went on to say how lovely the free and provided breakfast was that he consumed; what an idiot, where in the world does he think all those home baked yummies he consumed, and the dishwasher for him to conveniently place his used dishes in, fit into the "too many modern appliances" comment?
I would not feel comfortable with any guest who informed me my accommodations were 'good enough'.
My main reason for my attempt to prove I was human to recover my password was to locate Andrew's corner to play with the marbles that I have lost in this fun game of 'Let's invite strangers into our homes, only for them not to read the listing, and then complain after the fact of such nonsense.'
I belong to a closed FB page where people started grumbling of comments and posts made that were in their opinion negative or not in reference to the groups purpose.
There must have been 100 following posts that each one reads what he chooses, with an attitude of their choice.
99% of the group responded that we did not see or read any of the negative comments or posts.
I personally did not take any of Andrew's comments as inappropriate.
It all depends on one's personal take of life.
If life hand you lemons, make lemonade for heavens sake.
Just saying... "Good enough" is NOT "Good enough" for this host, they would not be welcome in my home and I would be on the phone asap to airbnb to cancel with no penalty for making such a statement.
