NOT an improvement!
I have just noticed that the little sign that used to say "Saved to wish list 50 times" or whatever, has disappeared! When did this happen? Or is it just my listing.

I've never seen this. We've been here about a month or so. I know our listing is on some wish lists, but I have no idea how many.

Yes, your listing used to tell you how many times it had been saved to someone else's "wish list". I hadn't looked at that in a while, but now that bookings are slowing down, I thought I would look to see, and it was no longer there.

On the web site using a PC, still see it by going to my listing via the dashboard and hovering my cursor over the "Save to Wishlist" box. A little popup window shows "Saved 252 times". I found this by accident a couple months ago.

Airbnb needs to hire a human-computer interface expert. The site violates several well-known rules for usability. This includes many of the invisible features that do not show up until you accidentally move your mouse to some magic area of the page. Thanks for pointing this out. It's useful information, and should be easier to find. It would be nice if you could find out which people had added it to the wishlist.

Agree about the need for an expert, the web site could certainly be more user friendly. I have learned about a lot of things I didn't know about thanks to these groups. As for finding out which people had added it to their wish lists, I can see why Airbnb might not want you to do that; some hosts might start contacting those people and pestering them to come and stay.

As far as I can tell, there's no way to contact guests from their profile page, so I don't think this would be an issue. It would be nice, however, to see where people are from, what price ranges they're looking at, what amenities they're interested in, what activities they like, etc. so that we can improve our listings and get a feel for the best demographic to target.

Airbnb definitely needs a razor sharp focus to oversee a top to toe User Experience review. From my experience, I see it as a typical large company still stuck in a start-up mode mind set. It's grown very quickly and now fraying at the seams and in some areas the seams have started to burst. Having said all that, it's been an amazing success story. Not least by the number of people it has liberated and empowered by making it possible for them to host. I really hope they place more emphasis on consolidation and improving the host and guest experience, rather than what seems an endless drive for growth.
