Strange people

Hi all what do I do about this, I had a lady make an enquiry to book a room for 30 days, soon after I pre approved the booking, I got a message from her saying she was actually married to a local yet she was not living here in sri lanka, she then wanted him to come and inspect the room and wanted to book privately, both my husband and myself were not happy about it so declined, should I report her to airbnb and how would I go about doing that.
Any helpful advise is welcome
Diane

In your message exchange, you'll see a little "flag" icon that you can click, and choose the option of "attempt to transact outside of Airbnb." That would be the way to report them. Airbnb might take action if several other hosts have flagged them for the same reason.

What I find more odd was that if she was married to a local, why would she not stay with him? If everything else about her had been okay, this would bear looking into. It isn't an unfair question, because there can be odd things that you should know about. For instance I once had an inquiry from a woman who also said she was married to someone local in my area. When I asked why she didn't just stay with him at his place, she told me -- he was in prison, on death row in San Quentin.
So. Things about guests that are good to know, before you accept them.
