Welcome Sandra! Renting shorter-term takes more work, but it may be worth it to have the income from guests who want to stay less than a month.
I just have a question about your lovely profile picture – I see that you're the owner of a business, and a professional. I'm just wondering if you're intending to attract men who may expect nonstandard amenities? It's okay if you want to do that, I guess, but if you do you not want unwanted attention or that type of guest, you may want to change it to one with more clothes.

I didn't get that vide at all and think it is a lovely photo, but Europeans tend to be less conservative in these matters. Going topless is very common at the beaches among women of all ages and not considered sexually provocative. Ibeza even has it's nude beaches which many Americians would find distasteful, but think nothing of walking into a church in short shorts and a tank top. I'm sure Sandra can vet her guests like we all do. To answer the question, try so,e off season short term rentals and see how it works. Check the pricing of similar listings and giving it a try just don't book those too far in advance so you don't loose your long-term high season bookings. Liz

I wonder if Andrew or Glenn could play it straight for a comment: www.airbnb.com/groups/41/contents/97310

You have to remember this is an international profile, and there are guests--of any nationality--who will make moves on hosts, no matter what the profile picture. By business standards, the photo is unusual. Also, it doesn't help you identify the person. When I greet guests, especially if I am picking up from the airport, I will use the profile picture to identify the guests. I think the tips from Airbnb even tell you to have a clear, head-and-shoulders shot for your profile.
