No bookings at all
So just reduced my price by a tenner a night. Not a single enquiry either. Perhaps they are all in Paris.

I have a few but last Christmas was hectic by comparison. I am looking at empty nights in January. If I were Airbnb I would be worried about the way the model is working in London. But maybe the total bookings are fine and it is just us old hands who are suffering.

Very quiet here too for Jan. Have a couple of bookings but massive, uncharacteristic, gaps.

I think it's now time for an urgent meeting to discuss this with reps from airbnb. Airbnb are just encouraging as many people as possible to become hosts while seeming to have no regard at all for the current hosts who aren't getting bookings, enquiries or even views.
Any ideas how a meeting could be arranged in the next few weeks ?

Two bookings in the future, both of which are returning guests. Thank God this isn't my only revenue stream and I seriously pity those in that position.

Nicky, Please can you get in touch with emma • (email hidden)e works out of the UK office and should be able to access market statistics for London.
Many London businesses are on limited hours during the coming week 29/12/14 to 2/01/15; so it'd be good to enquire from Emma when she's back at her desk & able to respond.

Finally had a booking request for a few days in February which of course I accepted. No other enquiries at all though despite my prices now being very low for Central London.

Please let me know if you get through to Emma - I wrote on two very important points on 13th December last - and have yet to have a reply - this is just not good enough.

There's an interesting post from Robert on Hosting Stories about how there is currently some disagreement between Airbnb and Google which has resulted in Airbnb not being shown unless the actual name is typed in. i.e. if you search for rooms to rent etc. Airbnb is nowhere to be found, whereas Homestay etc are there. Perhaps Emma can comment?
