This was a common scam on the old host groups -- fake "hosts" would ask group members to contact them privately, upon which they could obtain the host's direct email address, which they could then use to "go phishing" with that host. The scammer in this case, "Melissa", actually appeared on a large number of host community groups, including New Hosts Forum, with a similar message in every case, soliciting private responses.
