Do you let people without a profile pic stay in your home?
And their communication is very limited? New to this and I have liked knowing who is staying in my house and usually can tell what type of person they are by the way they message me regarding my home.

We were told they weren't going to allow profiles without pics anymore?
Tell the guest to verify and post a pic before you'll respond to booking requests.

They verified, but no pic.

One of my first ever guests, had and still has a cartoon profile picture, he still comes one night a week to this day! And is a really nice guy the least troublesome, I have found men tend to be more private over the Internet than women. Having said that, if I knew these groups even existed when I first started, I probably wouldn't have accepted a cartoon to come to stay! But a lot does rely on your gut instinct..

My first guest looked like a serial killer, it was an upload of his drivers licence. He wrote a fantastic request and was arriving at 8pm, leaving at 5.30pm and as I had hosted on Couchsurfing for 5 years and his request had some humour I told him he looked like a serial killer. He changed his photo. We talked 8 hours of his 9 1/2 hour stay and he stayed 3 more times as he was following the English cricket team around Australia. He even cancelled hotel bookings to stay with me! He was a gem of a guest! His son also flew out that year and stayed with me! It's more about the communication than the look and if you air your apprehension with no photo and they accommodate and update. No problem!

Lol, at serial killer...I have also had a boat 'harbour' come to stay! Lol

Well I had Nelson Mandela, which was pretty special as he had died about a year before that! (He looked remarkably good for a man who had been dead for quite a while!)

I had a basset hound, who turned out to be a nice lesbian couple. But Airbnb was still somewhat new back then. These days, I wouldn't accept a booking until a guest has completed the basics of their profile (photo, verification) and said something about the purpose of their visit.
