www.airbnb.com/groups/content/content-91139"Lease"Hi, been renting for a short while now. I always thought of preparing a "lease" type document for my guest to sign and myself just as a precaution and professionally. Anyone has such a document.?

Hi MarQuis - mine is in my House Rules. It's written for Virginia, so you'd need to check to see if it's applicable in Quebec. Good luck!

What protections are you expecting in a lease that AirBnB doesn't already provide?

I agree Danny. I would be reluctant as a guest to sign additional paperwork

I would like to outline all rules and if anything gets damaged that its my right to pursue damages. Deposit is required and ID and will ve returned and why i take that stuff etc ....you renting your space either short or long term its the same thing.. not every stay will go picture perfect. I try to plan for worst wish for the best.

Same here. In my country I have to give a reciept to my guest for my tax reasons and for that I need an ID number. Guests dont usually dont give this to You because the say that They dont need Any reciept and that airbnb has given it to them already. Airbnb does not give any type of info about guests... Dont know how to solve this problem that in futur will turn Out to be a bigggg problem.

Hi Sofia! I suggest looking for a local airbnb group. Other host might have encountered the same problem, and might have a solution to it. Other thing you can do is contacting your local Airbnb customer service and ask for an specific response to this issue. Good luck!!

Hello Martina thanks for your advise but I have done that And airbnb said that They don't have that type of service. I have to get legal advise from a specialist on tax matters. I Will try finding a local group it might be a great help. thanks so much.
