Evelyn posted this 2 years ago on the Group "Lets' talk about Money" www.airbnb.com/groups/content/content-20720Evelyn How low do you go? Evelyn so the holiday season is here and the slow season is right around the corner.. I'm already offering a 20% discount for the winter months.. but someone just ask be for an almost 60% discount, from the original price.. I don't know why I'm hesitant.. is it better to have the space booked, wait for a better offer or not to share my space with guests? 3 comments Follow Like Milu Milu2 years ago Evelyn! It's much slower this year than the years below - I have very few bookings for January, certainly not enough to pay the bills. I guess I'll start with a 30% drop and see how that works. I'm also going to try putting my places up as sublets or monthly rentals to see if that generates any interest. If not, I'll have to dip into my plastic surgery fund to cover the cost of heating/cable Like 1 like Evelyn Evelyn2 years ago Maria - I did a 20% drop over a month ago and I'm getting more bookings than ever.. I still have a lot of days available but not horrible.. I'll say send that "holiday card" to your old guests letting them know of the holiday sale.. just in case they want to let people know. I remember one year airbnb offered a card that we could send to our past guests but haven't seen one this time. Like 1 like
