Got the notification for the 2015 Tax Info on my Dashboard, suggesting that I check the Earning Summary. In the Summary, I see my listing names, number of reservations confirmed, number of nights, etc. In one of my listings, it says the number of nights I had in 2015 is 1,161 nights. Last time I checked, there are only 365 days in a year. And I certainly didn't host all year round everything either. Does anyone else have this crazy info?

Yes -- I have one reservation from 2015 that shows up as being 625 nights long!!! And another two reservations which show as having a total number of nights well over 365 days each...whereas they were each maybe one month each.....NUTS!!
See the post I'm about to post about how Airbnb is no longer filing 1099 forms for most hosts...

Sorry to jump in without reading everything very carefully, but could the huge number of booked nights be because of multiple listings? I have a total of 2,648 nights booked This breakdown is fantastic to see. Although I keep all kinds of data, it's very helpful to see which of my places are the real earners, it's opened my eyes and re-affirmed what I thought, my big apartments are not performing as well as the one bedroom apartments.

No, it's not because of multiple listings -- they do the breakdown by listing so I can tell it isn't from that --

Maria Lurdes (Milu), deborah is right, it was for individual listing. Deborah, I was thinking that probably Airbnb combined the longer term reservation from 2015 that carries over to 2016 and lump it together, instead of splitting between the years. For example, I have this guest who has been staying here since August last year and his reservation is thru May this year. And of course I am hesitant to call Airbnb as I am doubtful that they could resolve this and worse, they'd think there is something wrong with my account.

I dont' think there is any need to call Airbnb. This incorrect info is for # nights only, and isn't for $ earned, so it seems okay to me to just disregard it.

Oh I was more worried about the number of nights in there if they ended up reporting it to the Planning Department (I am in SF) and they'd think I host more than 365 days a year! Of course I am hoping at least one of them would realize that you really can't have more than 365 days in a year

I dont' think AIrbnb is reporting this info to SF Planning -- from what I have heard from SF Home Sharers, Airbnb doesn't report anything to SF Planning -- there is only some info being shared with SF Office of the Treasurer, but only there. Planning gets no info. If that ever were to change, you could address inaccuracies at that point....

Well, Airbnb said they were not going to report anything to the the Treasurer - this was, I believe, last year. And then they did. And then they started taking off listings here and there without explanation. So I won't be surprised if they'll forward all info they have to pretty much anyone who demands it.

True....one doesn't know what to expect. Though now Airbnb has asked AIrbnb to "pretty please" remove "illegal listings" from their site, those who didn't register with the city, and Airbnb's response was to send hosts a letter in which they are "pretty please" asking them to register.
