Peter shared: White House appoints Brian Chesky as Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship "Today, the White House announced that Airbnb CEO and co-founder Brian Chesky was named a Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship (PAGE), joining a group of America’s most respected business creators who have committed to sharing their time, energy, ideas, and experience to help develop the next generation of entrepreneurs around the world. The members of PAGE are meeting with President Obama today at the White House to discuss how to create an environment where creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship can grow and thrive around the world. Brian is one of nine new members of the PAGE program, which is chaired by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker." Click bit.ly/1AUI2PF for Airbnb Blog post. My two cents: Wouldn't it be ironic if while Airbnb's CEO goes around the world representing USA and advising "how to create an environment where creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship can grow and thrive," San Francisco's Supervisors pass laws aimed at shutting down home sharing in the city where his company is headquartered? Reply: What's even more ironic is that SF is one of only 2 cities where airbnb is actually legal and not a grey area like everywhere else. Supposedly that made it safe there.
