We rent our cabin out during the summer only. Statistics are collected for 12 months but we rent about 4-6 months only. Shouldn't short term availability have a different star collection method? We want to be Super Hosts but don't feel we have the same playing field as 12 month hists. Thoughts?

Hi Barb -- very good question. I don't actually know how the Superhost program looks at hosts who are active only part of the year. The star ratings would not be effected, nor would response rate or cancellation issues. I think there is one criteria, and I can't recall the exact details, where you have to have a certain number of bookings within a certain period of time, such as 10 bookings in the last year, or maybe 10 bookings in the last 6 months. If it's the latter, you are right, that would negatively impact you, and suggests this should be an issue to be taken up with AIrbnb's superhost program managers.
