The Maryland state Senate Finance Committee is considering restrictive rules for short term rental hosts in that state, which among other things would require hosts to have fire sprinkler systems installed in their homes, and would also require that host's private information which is proprietary info held by the listing platform, be shared with the government and various state agencies. See the document here: mgaleg.maryland.gov/2017RS/bills/sb/sb0463f.pdfMaryland hosts are urged to write to their senators and oppose this legislation.
