Public liability?
Does anyone know if we need to have public liability insurance in case anyone injures themselves on out home so we don't get sued? Just a thought setting up my place. Would love people thoughts on this. 1 comment Follow Like Delete Hide Veronica Veronica2 hours ago Hi Renee, Yes, you definitely need separate PL insurance.
The Melbourne's Finest Hosts group have been working with LTM Risk brokers who have designed a cover specifically for in-home hosts. In a nutshell the features are: It's a top up cover - you keep your existing house & contents insurance; One off annual premium, usually works out at under $200 per year; Available to all hosts Australia wide; Apply online and get covered in minutes; Underwritten by Lloyds of London
Melbourne hosts have been flocking to buy this cover. If you want to find out more, please email me.

Honestly I could be wrong but I think there are some hosts who may be getting commission from flogging this other insurance. This same person even popped up on the Brisbane group. The one I suggest is a common company (and I certainly don't get commission for referring to it)
