Not showing up on listing!
I have been hosting for three years and we are Superhosts. Our room is always booked. Until this December and now literally nothing. Our listing is active, we have 134 glowing reviews, nothing has changed. I went into site not logged into account and attempted to find our listing and it does not appear in search results nor on map.
Something is wrong and from my end all appears correct.
Any thoughts? Also this is the first time I've had an issue and I find it infuriating to not have any means to reach Airbnb.
Thanks!

Use incognito mode in your browser and search and zoom way in. It's likely there but their search algorithm isn't weighing your listing high for your customized results.
If it's till not there you need to contact airbnb.

Airbnb says it's there but we've gone from full practically every night for three years to no one! Literally no one and nothing has changed other than amazing reviews all fall...... Airbnb says nothing has changed in their algorithm.

I searched and went through 17 pages and couldn't find it at all do you have any dates blocked off ?

No dates blocked off. Airbnb even check all that and says everything is fine. I'm terribly confused.

I did find it when I did a Price search only on the first page , but just under a general search it did not show up !!
with prices set to $10-55

There is a flood of units in the area , have you thought of trying to do a price reduction of $5.00 just to see if that bumps up your listing ? I don't know what else to tell you to do ? it looks like there is just a big flood of similar listings and the same price range in your area .

We dropped to 25$/night from 48$ and got no one for the last 6 weeks. I've put it back up as it made no difference. There have always been many many listings in our neighbourhood. I think something has been wrong with the algorithm honestly. I'm going to see if it picks up otherwise not sure what we'll do.

here's a free trial of everbooked: bit.ly/1SORLRK
They automate your pricing to meet market rates.
They also have a "comps" tool that's free once you sign up and you can see trends for similar listings nearby.
Give it a shot for free.

Many hosts make the mistake of slogging through 17 pages of listing to find theirs. Reality is that guests don't search that way. The use search filters such as location, price amenities, number of guests, etc. On the Community Center hosts complain all the time that their listing isn't showing, yet when I search acting like a guest would, I find their listing right away!

I tried doing that , but wanted to see what unfiltered results would be as many new members are not yet savvy on how to search , thats why I did several types of searches

Thanks Clare but I was nowhere to be found even when the search criteria were very very specific. My listing has magically reappeared after going through Airbnb help.
We'll see if requests start coming in as the larger issue is how I can go from turning people away almost every day, even in the slow season to not even one inquiry in 6 weeks. Something was wrong but I don't think I'll be able to know what now that it seems ok.
Thanks all!

Hi Jo, what do you mean by "your listing has magically reappeared after going through AirBnB"? Do you mean you contacted AirBnB and report your missing listing?

Yes, I called Airbnb to talk this through. And they said there was nothing wrong with my listing but right away after the call, my listing is back and requests are coming in.

I think that Airbnb CX and Tech People are not always on the same page and that the system is often buggy when they make changes and upgrades to the system and I'm sure it creates issues network wide

Airbnb is bug ridden, something they will naturally deny. Soon you won't be able to share your stories here as they are shutting down these forums. One of the reasons for doing this is to quell voices of criticism being exchanged. Mine will soon be gone for example. What will happen to yours?

There is the New Community Center , although it is hard to navigate around the Topics rather then Real Group Forums

We have our own Facebook page in Dublin now, so the community centre chaos is irrelevant, and I won't be using it.

I had the exact same thing. Suddenly No bookings after being full for the last two years and not coming up in the listings. I appear to be back up again and suddenly the enquirers/bookings have increased again. What's worrying is this should not happen to long standing reputable hosts. The search engine is very laborious and should be much simpler like most hotel booking sites. They do not list bookings in price order, star ratings or even location. When I searched it showed bookings 20miles away before mine. This is ridiculous and will just deter people. We should be able to rely on a reasonable amount of bookings as to go from full to nothing can be quite distressing not to mention the financial impact.
