Of course you did right in denying them. Ever seen a bogus car deal on ebay? It's like the Nigerian scams--there's a slight bit about the car sandwiched in an enormous amount of tales of personal tragedy, to make you buy the car out of sympathy, I guess. Or when you sell something on cl, and people text you and say they're on their friend's phone, so don't text back, email only. Why can't people vary their scams a little bit?
