Female host propositioned by male guest
This story was shared a while back, and I wanted to share it again and see what you all think about it.
There was a host, call her Susan, who lived in a major US city, who posted about a problem she had with a guest. She was an attractive, outgoing young woman, and stated in her listing description that she wanted guests to know she would not be just their host, but their friend. She described herself as warmhearted. She received an inquiry from a young man, call him MIke, who in his very first inquiries to stay at her place, was already commenting about her appearance. Susan accepted Mike to stay at her house. Not long after arriving, Mike asked to go out with her, out for drinks at a local pub. Being a very friendly person, Susan agreed, though reluctantly, apparently in part because her protestations that she wasn't interested or was too busy were summarily dismissed by Mike. While out for drinks at the bar, Susan was subject to lewd/inappropriate comments from Mike and an instance of inappropriate, unwelcome touching. Susan didn't know what to do, so she went to the bathroom in the bar, then when she returned, made an excuse that she had to go home. When Mike returned to her home too she felt awkward, but didn't know what to do, and "endured" 2 more days with Mike, having had to walk away from his angry comments and engage in awkward attempts to avoid him.
Soon after experiencing this situation, she posted about this on a host group. In her post, she didn't ask any questions, and didn't seem to be asking for advice, but simply said that she is angry at Mike and so she didn't write a review for him.
What would be your response to Susan? What advice would you give her?
