Hi,
We've been hosting since 2014. We have a 3 bedroom house located on our farm in central California. The majority of our guests are tourists visiting the national parks.
When we got into short term rentals, I didn't really know what to expect. We have done remarkably well. We have a webpage and advertise on three different platforms. Most of our bookings come from airbnb.
Thanks Andrew and Deborah for all your work on the forums!
Janet

HI Janet, welcome, and nice to see you here! Andrew will eventually drop by to say hello too, but he is VERY busy these days with his day-job,and has not had the time to hang out here much yet.
Isnt' it amazing, how very many hosts, even those in areas that did not expect to get many guests, have done so very well? It's really incredible and wonderful. Actually in some ways it isn't surprising, because whereas tourists to your area might have to do several searches to find hotels in your area to stay at (if there even are any -- in many stopping-points that tourists make, there's no hotel around...), they can easily find Airbnb listings that might be in the area. I also have found that. by far and away, I get most of my guests from Airbnb.
