I am a landlord in the Jersey City area and began converting apartments into short term rentals about 1 year ago. I looking for support and to provide support while venturing into this new arena as a multiple listing server. Thank you so much for having me!

What has your experience been doing the business you describe in Jersey City? Do you face any backlash there? In the SF Bay Area, the politics are such that converting apartments in to short term rentals isnt' something that can really be done in our political climate and with the housing issues (housing crunch) that we have here -- cities which are developing regulations on STR's tend to prohibit the conversion of apartments to short term rentals in our area. As well, hosts who have such businesses tend to be vilified in our political climate, as well as, I believe, in NYC. BUt there are many other areas, certainly around the world (regulations can be quite different in some other countries in the world) where your type of business is less encumbered by the housing and regulatory and political issues we face here.
