Thank you for the invitation to join Deborah, I'm happy to be part of this forum.
I used to be a home-sharing host, now I've transitioned to the most reviled type of host - one with multiple listings. Getting that right out in the open so you can decide to love me for making this a full time business, or hate me for being a greedy bastard. You decide!

Hi Maria, welcome, I'm delighted to see you here! I look forward to your contributions on the forum.
I'm quite the libertarian in my view on private property rights, so you won't find me reviling anyone based on what kind of business they do, and I'm sure many others feel the same way. I think property owners largely tend towards the view that people should be allowed to do with their own property as they please, (particularly if we live in regions where folks have suffered from the results of city restrictions on property owners) yet we do have some in our community who are concerned about Airbnb staying true to an original "in home" type of hosting. So you will definitely find both types of views in any host community.
I think we are a rich community when we encompass this type of diversity.
In fact, I just was asked a question by a local host in my community, about Airbnb's relatively new "Business Travel" department. As far as I can tell, Airbnb is only showing results for business travelers, which are "entire apartment/house" listings -- not rooms in homes. (that was all that I found when I searched results for a city in my area). So this is just one example going to show that there is a range of what types of spaces are desired by certain types of guests.
