Hi all,
After living abroad for the past decade, my wife and I have returned to Denver, CO. We rented (long term) our previous home for the duration we were away, but sold it and now have a short term rental in the mountains (Dillon, CO).
Anyway, so we're new to short-term rentals, and looking forward to it both as a source of income and as a way to have others experience the Colorado mountains and lifestyle.
Thanks, Deborah, for setting up this site. I have been reading everything I can get my hands on and, while poking around on AirBnB, saw that this forum ahd been created.
Cheers, Michael

Welcome, Michael, glad to have you here and I hope you find this forum useful and find everything you need. Let me know if you need help finding things. I am guessing that you will have good business if you have a short term rental in the Colorado mountains -- seems like that would be very popular as a vacation setting.
FYI, the existing Airbnb community groups/forums will undergo radical change in mid-November, around the time of the Airbnb Open in Paris, so all the existing groups will cease to exist and new groups will be created which will be set up differently. My understanding is that Airbnb will have both new geographically oriented groups, as well as some type of "Q&A" structure in one group (perhaps modeled after our peer-run New Hosts FOrum and Hosting 911) but we dont' know what those will look like. We thought that it was time in any case to set up an independent site, and ideally many hosts would participate in both the new Airbnb groups and this site, which ideally would complement each other. AFter a couple years of participating in Airbnb groups that had no working search function, and where it was difficult to find old content, we are pleased to offer a site that has a working search function and where hosts can look up content and search by title of thread.
