CLimbing to the top of the world's highest mountain is becoming an increasingly tasteless and macabre experience. People are paying tens of thousands of dollars to be guided, practically carried, to the top of Everest, and it's bizarre that the crowds along the trail there are in some cases worse than Grand Central station. www.nytimes.com/2019/05/26/world/asia/mount-everest-deaths.htmlPeople are dying because they are literally stuck in traffic on Mt Everest, and run out of oxygen. They fall dead on the spot, and others walk over them to get to the top. It's horrific...I can't understand why anyone would either pay to do this, or get paid to do this. This "guiding" people up needs to just stop, in my humble opinion. Leave Everest to the professional mountaineers.
