Governments use technology to enforce STR laws

There are a couple companies that cities are hiring to help them do their Short term rental enforcement. One of the techniques that these companies apparently use, to find a host and/or listing, is to use the host name and look for matches with that name on voter registration records, people with that name who live in the general area of the listing.
