Peter shared in AUGUST 2015 Suspect pilfers $35K in loot from Airbnb rental "San Francisco police are hunting for a woman who allegedly ripped off $35,000 in loot from a home she rented earlier this year through Airbnb. Authorities said 27-year-old Richmond resident Jana Dominquez booked the home on the 1400 block of 27th Avenue in the Sunset District through the vacation rental website in April, but during her stay she busted into a locked closet and office and made off with the valuable goods." Click here bit.ly/1IkM7QG for SFGate article. My two cents: Check your homeowners insurance policy, folks. Or, come to our next meeting on insurance. Deborah: What are criminals thinking when they book a place with their real name, and then burglarize it? Better have gotten some valuable loot as you will be on the run for the rest of your life. Peter: Deborah, the article says the alleged burglar was arrested also for false impersonation, so I assume she didn't use her real name to book.
