The Texas Supreme Court recently overturned a lower court decision on homeowners and STRs. This ruling is very welcome as it makes a strong case for the rights of property owners to do what they want with their property, and it clarifies what other courts have said and what I've been saying all along, which is that short term rentals are NOT a commercial use of property, they are a RESIDENTIAL use of residential property, because guests are RESIDING there, just as long term renters would. www.texastribune.org/2018/05/25/airbnb-homeaway-texas-supreme-court-ken-paxton-austin-ordinance/
