Yeah that's what this man did. While the parking officer was talking to him.
I was curious because today while out and about I came across a police officer putting a boot on a car. I read the number on the boot and when I got home used it to look up the fines. The person has about 7 unpaid parking and registration tickets totalling over $1250 in fines. They got ticketed numerous times for the same expired tags. But...wait..there's still an option if the fines are more than you can pay.
You can just drive off.
That guy drove but didn't lose the boot.
But now watch this gal!
Or you can just saw it off, right in front of a police officer. ( I guess these kinds of police officers dont' have guns)
But this might be the best solution, just do it when no one's watching:
