As you may have heard, starting May 1 2018 Airbnb is going to impose a "48 hrs of free cancellation" on all hosts with strict cancellation policy. This will OVERRIDE the strict policy (as well as override the objections of so many hosts) and allow guests to get a full refund within 48 hrs of booking a stay on strict cancellation policy, as long as the reservation is at least 14 days away.
Some hosts have expressed concern that guests could then book and cancel w/in 48 hrs just to get information about host's address.
So Airbnb will set up a feature whereby you can hide your address from guests for the first 48 hrs after booking, until the time period for full refund for cancellation has passed.
