I just saw this on a message page with a guest... HOORAY!!! From what some other hosts had shared, it had begun to seem that Airbnb really didnt' care if a guest had a photo of themselves on their profile, or one of a dog or mouse. This was very discouraging to hosts who have been requesting guests to get their photo up, and for Airbnb to not back us up on this was quite upsetting. So to see this now is reassuring.

This is rich!
I was happy to see this and here is the update of my attempt to use it:
I hit "Okay" on the pop-up. Pop-up closes.
Apparently you have to phone in to report you KNOW a guest who has not arrived does not look like a colored picture or a Teddy Bear.
And a horribly ridiculous and time consuming situation to address at the time of check-in when you realize the photo is not the reserved party.
So here we go, 2+ hours of my time spent to report it via phone call which anyone could have done in the past without this little pop-up:
"Hi Rhonda,
This is ... from Airbnb, and I am the case manager in regards to your reservation with ..... We were speaking on the phone.
Thank you so much for calling in and voicing your concerns. I am sorry to hear about the negative experience in the past, (I had provided a perfect example of "Mr Beer Can Man" who was an attempted third party booking resulting in my refusal for any on property no matter their excuses for deviousness) and I want to do everything I can to make sure this situation rolls out smoothly.
I am reaching out to your guest now to see if I can assist them with uploading a verified profile picture, and I will also be updating you on the situation. What I mean by that is even if I don't hear from your guest, you will know about it.
If you need anything else, please don't hesistate to reach out to me through here. I want to make sue we get you taken care of.
Best, "
His first question was "How do you want to handle this?"
So my options were to accept the reservation as is; cancel the reservation because I do not feel comfortable with the guest; or request what he has stated he will do.
Another much to do about nothing programming addition.
Happy Hosting to All!! With mucho Alohas!!

Well that sucks -- I hadn't yet tried to report any guest for not having a photo that shows their face, so I would not have known what would happen.
Actually, I am unlikely to report any guest for that unless they are particularly resistant to putting a photo of themselves on their profile. Mostly when I ask guests to put up a photo of themselves, they are able to do that and they have a good attitude about it. Those who don't...well....
This should not, you're right, be something we have to call in about. That takes too long. It should be a simple click to report to Airbnb so they can check it and contact the host. I suppose that Airbnb has too many profiles and listings that get reported and which it has to check ....
