Just about every other day there's a new "update" by Airbnb to get outraged about.
This one is that guests who never stayed at your house are now permitted to leave a review!
I can't see how that is possible, since previously, I've had Airbnb remove a review left by a guest who never stayed at my house, on the basis that "a guest who doesn't stay at the listing is not allowed to leave a review."
Apparently this is the new procedure:
Reviews for reservations cancelled on/after day of check-in - Airbnb will trigger the review flow automatically for all CBH and CBG and CBA reservations that are canceled on the day of check-in or later. - The system doesn’t recognize check-in times; it will prompt a review for a reservation that is cancelled on the day of check-in, regardless of actual check-in time. - Users will have the ability to leave a review even though the guest did not check in. - Hosts and guests can both review the other party, and can still respond to a public review.
