There are several reasons you may want to add a Google Map to your own website. One is to show your location (either one listing location or several, if you have more than one property) to prospective guests.
Another is to map important area attractions, shops, restaurants, and other local places on a Guidebook Map.
These are some resources showing you how to create a Customized Google Map and add it to your website:
Create the Map

Basically here are the steps to create a custom Google Map
go to www.google.com/maps
You will need to sign in to your Google account in order to create a map. This means signing into a gmail account that you have. IF you don't have such an email, create one at www.gmail.com, and it gives you access to Google Map creation and other Google tools.
Then click on the three line menu bar on the menu on top left.
Click on "your places"
Click on "maps" on the menu bar in the new popup box.
Go to bottom and click on "Create map."
This lets you create a map with multiple pin markers...up to 10,000 pins. For each marker you can add photos, description, links.
Add the Map to your WEbsite:
to embed a map in your website, go to your map, then click on "Share" in the menu bar. Make sure the viewability setting is set to "public" so that anyone on the web can view the map. Click "done."
On the top title bar of your map, click the 3 vertical dot menu symbol. then click "embed on my site". This gives you html code you can use to put the code in the html script for your site. You will need to be able to know how to work with html or have an html view on your website.
