My god what nuts!! NYC is apparently the home of the "alt-left" Totalitarian government?? We have totalitarianism on two sides..of two flavors...the wacky right wing nuts and the insane and overcontrolling left wing alt left bullies who want to control what you do with your bedroom.

In the US, case precedent is that it's illegal for governments to go on "fishing expeditions" and demand vast amounts of data so that they can sift through it and try to find some crimes and violations in there. Governments are only allowed to subpoena for data when they have evidence to suggest a violation/crime has occurred, Otherwise they can butt the f#&k out.

"Forcing New Yorkers to publish their addresses online for anyone to see, especially while they are on vacation or visiting family, will put thousands of lives at risk," an Airbnb spokesman stated Tuesday.
