Airbnb to collect taxes for Wisconsin

Airbnb currently has tax agreements with more than 275 governments, including 21 U.S. states. In the Midwest, that includes the cities of Chicago and Cleveland, and the states of Illinois and Kansas.

In 2016, Wisconsin Airbnb hosts in the state shared their homes with approximately 105,000 guests, and earned $13 million in supplemental income, Breit said. There are currently 3,300 active hosts in the state, in 410 different cities, villages or towns.
