As reported in the SF Chronicle, Airbnb redesigned its platform to fight discrimination. Apparently they are now hiding photos of hosts --- I find these changes offensive. Stop hiding people, taking away information from users, and treating Airbnb users like children who have to be micro-managed. Hiding information is not the way to change hearts and open minds. www.sfgate.com/news/media/Airbnb-redesigns-platform-to-fight-discrimination-819970.php

I never liked the thumbnail in the list of results. It was not there at the start. It allows people to scroll theough result lists on a fast glance to find out if anyone they know lists on airbnb, be it an ex, new partner of an ex, disgruntled employee, collegue, neighbour or the tax office. In that sense, I just put a photo of me with long hair, unrecognisable for friends from before and will have the hair cut soon. ;-) If there is no moe photo at all, I'll have to rewrite my profile text though, which was my very first text ever written for an online profile - still the only one and unchanged since 2010..
