Going into full time innkeeper business: www.local8now.com/content/news/Woman-quits-job-thanks-to-Airbnb-and-made-50000-last-year-414280903.htmlIt should be pointed out, for those whose eyes glaze over and get giddy when they think they can jump into doing Airbnb and easily make a fortune, that running this type of business is no different than any other type of business -- you can only be as successful as the market allows, and supply vs demand curve in your area is key. I've written previously about those naifs who pop out a listing on Airbnb and think they're going to make a mint, not giving any thought to the fact that perhaps they are located in a part of the country that people aren't often visiting, or that there are too many other Airbnb hosts in their area so the competition is fierce and it's harder and harder to make money doing Airbnb hosting. Some people are well situated in a high-demand area, and in an area where there aren't too many hosts as yet. Others don't have those benefits. As always, I suggest doing research into the demand that exists for your business before you start any business.
