I didnt' realize it, but you can use what is called a "GIF" photo (one that moves) in your listing photos on Airbnb. Here's one I found on an Airbnb listing in Alaska -- isn't it wonderful how the clouds move? cc I suppose you could have a gif showing the train running by your house, or your flag waving ... The listing is here: www.airbnb.com/rooms/15127851

That is a great idea, Deborah! A gif is not a video, so don't know how to make one. I'll look at it. Could also do one of the hot shower water, since no one can ever work it!

CC I don't know how to make a photo like this either....I think you have to have certain photo editing software to do it. Not necessarily easy to do.

You can put a straight up video on your listing, too, can you not? I could put a video of my cat killing something.

Yeah, Deborah, it would. They wouldn't ask to bring their pets, and they wouldn't come themselves if they were afraid of cats--like my current guest.

Well CC you know your guests better than anyone....but I can see the point that they wouldn't come if they were afraid of cats, and they wouldn't want to bring a pet, lest your "kitty" pick a fight with it! Maybe not necessarily a GIF or video of the cat is needed...maybe just one like this (Feel free to swipe any of these) With mouse or rat: with something bigger than a mouse or rat.... And ready for something still bigger?

HA HA!! Yeah. My cat specializes in animals bigger than herself. She killed the Easter Bunny on Easter Sunday.

Also, she cheats. Listen to what she did: when the weather started getting a little cold, she killed a mouse and left it on the porch. I raked it off into the grass, since I had only male guests. (Since the grass is thin due to no rain, you could still see the mouse in the grass.) Next day, another mouse on the porch. I raked it off the porch into the grass. Third day, another mouse on the porch, but this time she just recycled one of the ones in the grass!

Ha-ha Deborah,
I vote for #3.
I can feel for Eloise, today was a 2 day guest, so figured I'd get the farm clothes on and get busy.
Up, down, up, down, up, down a ladder I couldn't figure out how I messed up my latest project 5 days ago.
Not feeling like the happiest camper, and I threw my back out the other day which is not making me feel like Mary Poppins of the neighborhood.
A crappy, dirty car drives into the driveway. I just ignored it, knowing my current guest isn't driving such a rat trap, and I'm too busy to give directions. Guess what?
"Hi, we booked your room 30 minutes ago, hope we can stay here."
I've always wished there was a way to make weekend prices higher for the one night, last minute stands for weekends.
My intention was to finish my project, I did, and make avocado pie for morning for morning specialty.
The guy is checking out one orange in a bowl on the counter, asks me what it is (good grief), an orange, the other guest states 'the orange tree is right there', I reply and guava, passion fruit, etc., you're welcome to collect for breakfast, as I didn't get a chance today. NOPE, not gonna do anything for themselves.
I immediately decided to change my mind and join the other 3 guests for dinner instead of making pie, while the "Hi, we booked your room 30 minutes ago", aka Ms Preggers (the other guests decided she must have lied to the airlines to let her on) went to the same restaurant 15 minutes ahead of the rest of us, brought their food home instead of staying and enjoying good time with live local music.
Poor ting must've been tired, well so is her host, thus no avocado pie tomorrow morning.
Banana Macadamia Nut Bread it is for morning treat.
Easy Breezy, I made 15 loaves the night before last.
Never a dull moment for us IB hosts; but by golly that's where the major buckeroos come from.
I still can't figure out who in their right mind would plan a vacation without making prior reservations for day of arrival, nor do I feel compelled to even give it another moments thought.
Let the good times roll!
