This probably has less relevance to Airbnb hosting than to doing standard long term rentals, but I just discovered that the city of Cinncinnati has a law prohibiting discrimination against those "of Appalachian heritage" in housing and employment. THis law was passed quite some time ago -- over 20 years ago actually. This article is from 1994.
They are one reason Cincinnati 16 months ago adopted an equal opportunity ordinance that for the first time gives Appalachians the same protection against housing and job discrimination as other minority groups. The law represented an official admission of widespread prejudice in a city where 20 percent to 35 percent of the 364,278 population has Appalachian heritage.
Hill-Billy-- no discriminating now!!
I LOOOOVED THIS SHOW!!!! It was very formative for me to watch as a kid. It developed the idea in me that "hillbillies" were probably way more fun than "city slickers", and had more sense, too.
