Yes, the ad does seem to make "other people in the world" look to be the problem -- and particularly since the other people these vacationers encounter are not the owners/residents of the homes where they are staying , but random people in public places, the ad does seem to be more about annoying people in the world than about a guest having to share a home with an owner or resident of that home. I did not see the ads yet, but the screenshot remind me of Microsoft's Apple bashing, when they were still market dominating and Apple was raising.
In France they announced a cooperation airbnb - sncf (railway) last year. I don't remember which side announced it, but I did not see any result so far.
