Slowed down, how to pick back up?

My Airbnb requests have dried up, despite all my great reviews.
The app is an injustice to the response rate as it often doesn't communicate my messages. I've gone from 90% response rate to 30% and even though I've spoken to Airbnb about it, they can't fix this %.
Any tips on increasing traffic to my posting and encouraging more renters?

I'm thinking the same, too much competition so maybe have to lower your price. This is normal in economics. Uou can't expect yo be on top and always inctesfing tevrnus. Ad the market changed you must change with it or die out like a passing fade. Your place looks fine, I've seen much nicer, but even for the east coast seems over priced. Personall, and I don't mean it

Disrespectfully, but I wouldn't pay note than half of what your listed price is for the space simply because there are listings with pills, gyms, breakfast included and other much more impressive amenities all around. Therefore don't become disheartened nor complacent just find a new nitch. t

There is a flaw in lowering your price to get bookings. If you lower it too far and it becomes not worthwhile, you need to ask why you are doing AirBnB. The only time to lower your rates is when you need to get some reviews if you have none.
Better yet invest in a spell checker!

I disagree. Hotels increase and lower their prices all the time and its not gir reviews and they are successful. Its a business strategy that works and is proven.

I lower my prices for the low season. My preference is to get something instead of nothing. The space is there costing me money, since I still have to pay the mortgage, etc. I just rented one of my listings for a 50% discount. Again, something is better than nothing and yes, there is a lot more competition.

Alicia,
I was having the same issue (no one wants to visit New York when it's cold) so I dropped my price a bit and started to get a couple books and quite a few ppl who wanted to use the space to film. I suggest temporarily taking a hit in terms of price and then raising it back up once you notice demand picking up.

Just a quick look at your place. And similar listings. It looks like other places may be a better bargain. Somehow you have to differentiate why yours is worth more , just my opinion

Because of the competition, just reduce it a bit to get the interest and booking. Then gradually increase the price back for future guests, once these bookings are complete.
