Booking separate rooms on the same listing?
Hi- I have two rooms in my house that are available for guests, however , I don't want to have septet listings for them. If I list 2 bedrooms being available is the assumption that the guests re booking both rooms to once? Or is there a way to manage 2 separate room bookings via the same listing? Hoping this makes sneeze and someone can provide some insight. Thanks!

No, you can't manage two separate room bookings from the same listing. Actually, there are THREE possible combinations you could have here, so if you wanted to cover all possibilities you would need to have 3 listings:
(1) Guest rents both bedrooms together.
(2) Guest rents bedroom #A only
(3) Guest rents bedroom #B only
As you can see, it is possible to have ONE guest book both bedrooms, or to have ONE guest book just one bedroom, but most likely the prices would be different for these two arrangements, right? You would not want to give a guest 2 rooms for the price of one, and a guest would complain if he/she had to pay the price of 2 rooms but only got one room.
THen, there is one other possibility, that you could potentially have TWO unrelated guests (people who don't know each other at all) staying in the two different rooms.
If you want to make it simple and only have one listing, just list the two bedrooms on one listing. However, you then have the drawback that people who only want one room will feel like they are overpaying to stay with you, or else if you offer the two rooms for the price of one, you will feel undercompensated.

Hi Deborah - thank you so much for your prompt response. Seems like I would need to make two separate listings or decide whether or not I want to list one room or both rooms on one listing. Got it. I was hoping there would be a simpler way. But, glad to read your insight and thorough explanation!

If you do two listings, or three listings, just make sure that you "sync" the calendars. So for instance if listing #1 is for both bedrooms and listing #2 is for just one bedroom, bedroom A, then when someone books listing #1 you have to block out the calendar of listing 2 so that you don't get some other guest wanting to book a room during a time someone has booked both rooms. Likewise in reverse. I believe there is a calendar sync tool now on Airbnb.

I have two rooms that I rent for one price. I do this so guest don't have to share the private bath. It's working for me. I have a daughter and mother coming tonight so they have their own room

My scenario as well. Works the best for both parties!

Thank you so much Deborah for all of your helpful comments and advice. I decided to post an additional listing and I will stay on top of the calendars to make sure they sync which is not an issue as I advertise on multiple sites and make sure that my calendars are up to date. I appreciate all of your input! Apologies for the terrible autocorrect misspellings in my original post!
