Major decline in reservation requests
Im seeing a major decline in reservation requests starting in the month of November. Ive lowered the price 30% & enabled instant book, and Im still not seeing many requests.
Ive heard this is seasonality, thats understandable, but I depend on the Airbnb income for rent. Does anyone have any tricks for surviving the winter ? When do things start to pickup again ?
Ive thought of getting a full-time roommate but I know enough about tenant law to know that there is no such thing as a 90-day sublease, once your in, your in.

I've seen this too, after a very fast-paced fall.
Maybe read through this article I found to see if any of these areas of your hosting need updating? www.forbes.com/sites/johnrampton(phone number hidden)/how-to-rank-higher-on-airbnb/ but otherwise, if you have a longish term guest (under 30 days) you're protected from an unwanted roommate.
Maybe highlighting holiday specials or local events to you would encourage some holiday bookings, as well.
Either way, I sympathize - good luck!

This is normal in the US. Hotels have this problem as well. Either adjust pricing or just enjoy the time off. I'm experimenting with automated pricing services to see if those bring more guests. Everbooked and beyond pricing both look promising.

I know these are slow months but what bothers me is that I'm not getting any inquiries for future months like I used to
