What should I do if the guest shows up with a company that I didn't allow
I listed my couch out and clearly identified it as a "shared space" allowing only one guest. But my guest shows up with a company and expects the space to be a private room, she even insists on pay more and wouldn't cancel the booking? :-(

I would call Airbnb to moderate.

Your guest's expectations and what you offer fo not match. You may ask Airbnb to relocate them right away.

Hope that you could solve this issue with airbnb. You seem to have a great location and your references gives a potential guest a feeling of trust that you are a nice Person to share (!) space with. But as you rent out more rooms in your appartment I recommend to a) expand your set of House rules in order to ensure peace and comfort for all people living /accomodated in the flat; b) state in every listing that there might be other guests staying as well (in another room.) Could help to avoid disappointment and negative reviews of guests who don't check a listing / host profile carefully.

You just dont' let the other guest in, the one that is the "company" you don't allow. Explain that she didn't read the information right, that the room is shared, that an additional person wont' be allowed, and that she can stay, but the other person cannot stay. And don't let them stay.
As an Airbnb host, you have to be prepared for situations where the guest does not follow the rules. You cannot assume the guests will always follow the rules. So, plan ahead of time what you will do if they don't. Have your plans set and follow through. If you are taken by surprise when guests don't follow the rules you probably will not respond as well, as if you had planned already in advance how you were going to handle this. Guests bringing extra people is unfortunately a common problem. Also, often guests don't read the whole listing thoroughly, so it is good to make sure before a guest books that they understand they are booking a shared space, as shared spaces are less common than private rooms.

Thank you for all your replies. I decided to contact AirBnb for help and I'll make sure to confirm with the guests that they understand what they are getting in the future.

When these situations happen, you really have to get Airbnb on the phone immediately and, as Deborah said, refuse to allow any unregistered parties to enter the flat.
